Welcome to the latest edition of my newsletter. It has been another very busy week here at East Devon Golf Club.
Our Get into Golf Taster Session last weekend proved to be a great success. A total of 16 ladies attended the two sessions held on Saturday, and a fun and enjoyable time was had by all. All of the ladies that participated have now signed up for a series of lessons, and hopefully a number will progress through to membership.

Congratulations to the team consisting of our Assistant Professional
Andrew Place,
Lisa Tinsley, Claire Dowling and Sally
Underwood for finishing third in the recent Ladies Pro-Am at Exeter Golf and Country Club.
The Harvey Gillingham Salvers, a Better Ball Stableford attracted an entry of 46 pairs on Saturday. Cruising to an emphatic victory with an impressive 47 points was the pairing of
Eric Biddulph and
Geoff Millardship.
The seniors were out in force on Monday for their individual Stableford. The weather conditions made scoring on the day somewhat challenging. The winning score of 38 points was recorded by
John Hall, who owed much of his success to his excellent driving with his new
PING G Series Driver.
David Brunwin was the leading venerable vet with 32 points. There were 77 entries.
There was a bumper entry for the ladies County Stableford on Tuesday. The leading lady on the day was
Pat Malpass who recorded an impressive 37 points. It was lovely to see Pat back in the winners circle as she had been struggling a little bit with her game over the past few weeks. It looks like the lessons are starting to pay off. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations to
Annie Dent on achieving her maiden hole in one on the 10th hole during the ladies competition on Tuesday. Annie was using the new Srixon UltiSoft golf ball.
Congratulations to all of this week's winners.
Custom Fitted product isn't more expensive Who's in this camp? "Custom fitted products cost me more than buying off the shelf." Wrong! If we got a pound for every time we heard this one…
We have the tools and the expertise to help you enjoy better golf by custom fitting you for equipment that's right for your own swing - and this doesn't have to come at an extra cost.
Our goal is to help you get more enjoyment from the game - which comes in many forms, maybe extra distance, finding more fairways, or just better ball striking consistency. However, custom fitted product doesn't have to be more expensive; we'd rather see our customers happy with their new equipment.
Until the end of June, we are offering a
FREE fitting and a
FREE after sales lesson when you buy hardware from us. Please
