It has been another busy week here at East Devon Golf Club both on and off the course.
Clinton Centenary Vase - Monday, 30 May
The main event at the Club this week has been the prestigious Clinton Centenary Vase which was up for grabs on the Bank Holiday Monday.
The event is annually competed for on a Stableford format and is open to all members of the club. The event attracted a bumper entry of 137 competitors and with the conditions on the day being friendly a good score was up for grabs.
The Star performer on the day and lifting the trophy for 2016 was Ray Sturman with an excellent 41 points.
1st - Ray Sturman - 41 Pts, 2nd - Terry Heard - 40 Pts, 3rd - Shane Lyon - 39 Pts
June Medal - Saturday, 4 June
The June Medal was on the agenda for the Men last Saturday. John Threlfall was the leading competitor on the day, scooping the best overall prize and top spot in Division 2 with a fantastic nett 66. David Blick led the way in Division 1 with an equally impressive nett 68, considering he is off plus 2! And Steve Newton took the honours in Division 3 with a nett 69.

Rolle Cup 2016
The Rolle Cup was also up for grabs on Saturday, and by virtue of his nett 66 John Threlfall became this year's winner.

Congratulations to Mark Coles on winning this year's Winter League.

Midweek Stableford - Wednesday, 8 June
The Midweek Stableford attracted an entry of 38 players on Wednesday. Tony Waters continued his run of good form to top the leaderboard with 41 points. Carole Brailey was the best placed lady with 34 Points.

EG Medal - Tuesday, 31 May
The ladies were out in force on Tuesday for an EG Medal. In another closely contested event, the leading lady on the day amongst the 64 competitors was Linda Knapton who returned an impressive nett 71 to take the best overall score.

Greensome's Flag - Tuesday, 7 June
38 pairs competed in the ladies Greensomes Flag competition on Tuesday. Several of the pairings made it down the 19th with shots to spare, which is no mean feat. Sue Fowler and Jane Joy ultimately progressed the furthest and were top of the pile.

Stableford - Monday, 6 June
Another full field battled it out for the honours in the Senior's Stableford on Monday. Michael De Sancha came out on top of the pack with an impressive 41 points. David Crowe was the leading venerable vet with 35 points.
1st - Michael De Sancha - 41 Pts, 2nd = David Mears - 39 Pts, 2nd = Alan Baker - 39 Pts
Over 75 - Winner - David Crowe - 35 Pts
The Juniors have got off to a positive start to the season with victories already in the East Devon Junior League and progression through to the third round of the Basil Steer.
