Welcome to the latest edition of my newsletter. It has been another beautiful week here at East Devon Golf Club, certainly a little cooler first thing in the morning, but mainly dry and bright. 

 

30 pairs battled it out for the Silver Putter on Saturday. This year's event reverted back to the original format a Foursomes Stableford. There were two pairings locked at the top of the leaderboard on 37 points, but by virtue of a superior back nine Clive Bennett and Kim Johnson became this year's victors.


 

The Seniors were out in force on Monday for the Vasey Tankard. The star performer on the day was Andy Scott who returned an excellent nett 68 to claim the silverware. Mike Trapnell was the leading venerable vet with a nett 71.




A Bogey Competition was on the agenda for the ladies on Tuesday. After much confusion and several attempts to re-write the format, it all went ahead as planned! 

The leading lady on the day recording an excellent plus 4 score against the course was Alison Corney.
