Welcome to the latest edition of my newsletter. It has been another rather mixed week on the weather front with a bit more of the wet stuff falling and some pretty decent winds blowing through the place to add to the fun and games.
The first piece of action to report upon this week is the November Medal which took place last Saturday. A wild day greeted the 97 competitors, but that didn't in any way detract from the standard of scoring recorded on the day. Taking the honour of best score of the day and topping Division 2 was Barry Devetta with an impressive nett 68. Guy Peters led the way in Division 1 with a nett 69, and Adrian Woolacott won Division 3 with a nett 71.
The Seniors were out in force on Monday for an Individual Stableford. The packed out event with 74 entries was as keenly contested as ever. The runaway leader with a fantastic score of 41 Points was Tony Smith. It was nice to see John Jago back to his winning ways by landing the venerable vet prize with 33 points.
Congratulations to all of this week's winners.
Okay, so we're into November and it's hard not to think about Christmas. When was the last time you checked out our website, a place where you'll find all our latest shop promotions and equipment reviews? It's a great place to start if you're thinking about presents and/or kit for yourselves. We're also more than happy to provide our expertise if you're buying for someone else and you're not sure where to start.
You may also have noticed that a number of brands are starting to introduce new additions to their line-ups and we're always amongst the first people to see and try the product. So, be sure to check out our video content and when you're next in the shop having a browse, pick our brains on what's new. There could be something right here ready to help transform your game in 2015.
