This email is to provide both members and visitors with an update on my position regarding COVID-19/Coronavirus and the action that is currently being taken at the pro shop, East Devon Golf Club. We want to reassure you that we are monitoring the situation and working closely with the club as well as following Government advice and the guidelines set out in detail by Public Health England and the NHS. Following advice recently set out and provided by the Professional Golfers Association, additional actions are being taken internally to try and reduce the risk to members, staff and visitors, these include the following: - We have enhanced our cleaning procedures in and around the golf shop.
- We are ensuring waste is removed on a more regular basis.
- All golf lessons and custom fitting appointments including group coaching and junior lessons will be going ahead with no disruption. Because of social distancing ALL GOLF LESSONS will be held outside on the main practice ground, putting green, short game area and on the course. All teaching devices and launch monitors are portable so this doesnt effect the level of service provided.
We would ask that anyone with any symptoms of the virus and/or has recently returned from the areas listed by the government as high risk, follow the government guidance. This of course, remains a very fluid situation and we will provide a further update if anything changes, in the meantime it is ‘business as usual’ and we look forward to seeing you at the club soon.
