Welcome to the latest edition of my newsletter. It has been another petty decent week here at East Devon Golf Club. It is hard to believe that we are now well into December and Christmas is very much upon us. We have been nice and busy in the Pro-Shop as the Christmas rush gets into full swing.
First action to report on this week is the Midweek Stableford. The star performer on the day was Lewis Maby who returned a brilliant score of 39 Points to take the best overall score of the day. Hot on his heels was Richard Bowes and Andy Pelosi who also had a good day scoring 38 Points.
There was a fantastic turn out for the Ladies Xmas competition on Tuesday. This years event was played as a 9 Hole 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford and had two separate competitions for the Front Nine and Back Nine pairings. Winners of the Front Nine with a superb 23 Points the pairing of Judy Murray and Ali Miller. Taking top spot for the Back Nine was Carole Brailey and Sarah Jones with an excellent 20 Points.
Congratulations to all this weeks winners.
As we head through December it's hard not to reflect on the year that's been 2014. Some of you will have set yourself goals for the year - so how did you get on?
For many of you that goal centres around the 'H' word. Has it gone up, stayed the same, gone down perhaps?
Whatever the state of your handicap we hope you can take the positives out of the year, that's something the pros do so well; that is, even when they've not been returning the kind of scores they want, they can work with the positives knowing a change in fortune is just around the corner.
Before you set next year's goals why not speak to one of the team here. We can help you realise your targets by looking at your swing and talking you through all the latest new equipment. It's one of the reasons we're here; to help you enjoy better golf.
