Welcome to the latest edition of my newsletter.
It has been another busy and varied week here at East Devon Golf Club and there is plenty of action to report upon from off and on the links.
I had the pleasure of attending the Annual Senior's Dinner on Wednesday night and had a very enjoyable evening and an excellent meal. Thank you to the Senior Captain Norman Forte for the kind invitation.
I took delivery of my brand new Cleveland Wedge Fitting Cart yesterday. It's a lovely bit of kit and will give you the members the opportunity to try before you buy, and will give us the ability to offer a number of choices of shafts and lofts to suit your needs.

The heavy overnight and early morning rain succumbed the Senior's event on Monday to a non-qualifying Stableford. A number of temporary greens were in play, but this didn't appear to affect the scoring of one gentleman in any shape or form. Mike Wall, one of the early morning starters recorded a fantastic 42 points for a landslide victory. Barry Devetta was the leading venerable vet with 32 points.
The first EG Medal of 2015 attracted a modest entry on Tuesday, mainly due to the trolley ban. The round of the day came from Ladies Vice Captain Rosemary Pratt who returned an excellent nett 75.
A 9 hole 5 clubs and a putter Stableford was laid on for the ladies who didn't fancy carrying for the full duration, and that was won by Marilyn Gerrard with 31 points.
Congratulations to all of this week's winners.
Enjoy your golf this coming week.
