Our first Ladies Open Day on Saturday 12th April has attracted a great deal of interest, but we still have a few spaces available. If you have any friends or family who are interested in joining us on the day for a free taster session, please contact myself or Matt in the Pro-Shop who will be happy to help, or click here to register your interest.
There was a good turn out for the start of season coaching session for the Still Cup and Presidents Trophy teams on Thursday. I had the pleasure of delivering a morning and afternoon short game class which should hopefully set the teams well on their way for their matches beginning later this month. Watch this space for all of the results from these tournaments.
The first competitive action to report upon this week is the annual Spring Pheasant. The event is played as a foursomes medal which is a pretty stern test so early on in the season. Only a couple of teams managed to break par on the day. This years victors with an impressive Nett 68.5 was the pairing of Rod Ford and Alan Forte.
The Ladies were out in force on Tuesday for their EG Medal. There was a two way tie for the best overall score of the day, an excellent Nett 73 which saw Marilyn Hobbs taking top spot in Division 1 and Linda Knapton doing likewise in Division 2. The Medal finals were also up for grabs on Tuesday. Linda's excellent performance saw her clinch the Bronze Medal, and Sue Fowler lifted the Silver Medal with a Nett 78.
